Hide and Read is a letter-writing game for two players: each player takes on the role of one of the two secret agents and together they'll tell their love story through the hidden notes they leave in eachother's books.
To play, you'll need a book (either a random one or the one you're currently reading), three d4s and something for writing (physical or digital).
A solo player variant is included!
Hide and Read was made for the TTRPG Bookmark Jam and it's inspired by the incredible book This Is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone.

I love the way of getting three words from a book, and it’s very clever to use the sum of numbers to create a tone. I’ve tried it and it works incredibly well. It also fits perfectly with how secret agents would confess to each other. It’s sensational! Congrats!
Thank you very much David, your feedbacks are always appreciated! I had a hard time figuring out a way to get random words from a page without counting lines/words and that felt right, so I’m really glad you enjoyed the mechanic I came up with :)
